Language
Most people in France have French as their mother tongue which is also the official language in the country. Significant regional languages in France are Occitan, Corsican, Bretons, Catalans, Basque, Dutch and Alsace. The biggest language spoken in immigrant communities is Arabic.

France has three types of climate:
· Oceanic (west)
· Mediterranean climate (south)
· Continental climate (centrally and east)
France has a tempered climate
-with warm summers and cold winters. Regionally the temperatures can vary a lot. The weather in the Mediterranean area is milder than in the rest of the country and in average 10 degrees warmer and it seldom freezes. France is except for the Alps spared of extreme climate conditions.
